No Fake Allies at Pride

The LGBTQ+ community in the United States is under attack. After years of progress, a new wave of bigotry is fueling a surge of state laws and executive policies attacking basic human rights.

Over 300 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have flooded statehouses across the country in 2022, including laws banning gender-affirming healthcare for minors and the now-infamous “Don’t Say Gay” legislation.

As the LGBTQ+ community prepares to celebrate another season of Pride, it’s more important than ever that our allies stand up with us. Unfortunately, dozens of major corporations are claiming to support the LGBTQ+ community while financially supporting the politicians behind these bills.

At least 30 corporations who publicly sponsor various Pride celebrations across the country, including Toyota, AT&T, Comcast, State Farm, Amazon, and Budweiser have directly contributed to LGBTQ+ hate. If these #FakeAllies fund LGBTQ+ oppression, then they have no place at Pride.

Now more than ever, we need real allies that will stand with and defend LGBTQ+ youth, families, and individuals. Scroll to learn more about what you can do.
